“At the beginning, when I was very new to dating, I did use match.com, exchanged emails with quite a few different guys and went on some dates with a few of them.  I eventually discontinued my use of match because I felt that it could take a long time to make a good connection that way.  Two of the guys that I ended up being interested in were people I had met in person rather than through a dating site.  I think that your service is very promising since it has live events that help people make a connection.”

                                              - Stacy, one of our members

To date, we have received many emails like Stacy’s - many people prefer event-based/activity-based dating over online dating.  And we do that too.  We believe that dating should be fund, easy and low-pressure. We all agree that there is a better chance to find someone special and get to know them when you meet the person, share common interest, do activities together, e.g. cook a meal together, go skating together.

Yin Meets Yang is currently promoting “Date Me!” program which gives you the chance to control your own social calendar, whether you enjoy a casual after-work drink every now and then or wan tot meet someone new every day.   No matter what schedule yours are, we make it simple and painless to put yourself out there and have a great time meeting people.

There are three simple steps to participate in “Date Me!’;

-        You may either choose from our activity list we recommended, or propose your own date idea/date/time.  You will need to provide your personal profile and two recent photos of you.

-        Other people will respond to your proposal if they are interested in your date idea and going out for the date with you.  When they respond, they will also need to provide their personal profile and two recent photos of them.

-        There could be more than one person responding to the same proposal. You will need to choose which person you’d like to go out for a date with.

A Longwood Christmas(圣诞的长木公园,最浪漫的约会)

Welcome to the world of Longwood Gardens, where garden design, horticulture, education, and the arts interplay to inspire and enlighten our guests.

One of the world’s great gardens, Longwood’s story is one of legacy, innovation, and stewardship.

Our Gardens are a living expression of all that our founder, Pierre S. du Pont, found inspiring, meaningful, and beautiful. From the intricate fountain systems to the meticulous gardens to the architectural grandeur, awe-inspiring discoveries await at every turn.

Our Rich History

Years before it was a public garden, the land on which Longwood Gardens stands was home to the native Lenni Lenape tribe and Quaker farmers. Since then, the land has undergone significant transformation to become the magnificent property that is enjoyed by more than a million guests each year.

Creating a Vision for the Future

Our ability to be leaders in public horticulture lies in our deliberate planning and adherence to the principles on which we were founded.

The sounds of the season resonate throughout our indoor and outdoor Gardens during our musically-inspired display.

A towering 18-foot Fraser Fir exquisitely decorated with a garland of musical instruments takes center stage in our elegant Music Room. Organ sing-alongs, strolling carolers, and performances fill our Gardens with festive cheer. Delight in our holiday horticulture showcasing more than 6,000 seasonal plants.

Outside, the sounds of oohs and aahs fill the air as illuminated stars twinkle above, colorful fountains dance to holiday music, and a half-million lights brighten the night.

We’re bringing back not just one, but three fire pits this holiday season!

The fire pits will be placed at the Hour Glass Lake Pavilion, Peirce-du Pont House Plaza, and Dogwood Plaza. They'll be available every night from 4:30–10:00 pm throughout A Longwood Christmas, weather permitting.

Boating Party on the Delaware River!

Welcome aboard!  We hope you all like being around the water, sun rises and sun sets. Bathing suite, shorts, sandals, cover-up and a pretty smile… required.

Boating on the Upper Delaware River can be an enjoyable adventure. It will be fun to see the city and some sights from the river. Of course in the Philly area you have Penns Landing to check out and the Battleship NJ on the Camden side. If you travel north, after the Ben Franklin Bridge, you'll pass a railroad bridge, the Betsy Ross Bridge, and then the Tacony Palmyra Bridges. On the right side a couple of miles up you'll have the entrance to the Rancocas Creek. A good majority of it is a no wake zone. It's pretty scenic, though, and you'll pass under a couple of low bridges that are pretty unique and cool.

Snacks and soft drinks will be provided.

Space is limited. We will invite our special guests to attend this private party.  It will be a surprising party, because you will meet your dream date!

BOARDING LOCATION: Dredge Harbor, Burlington County, NJ
DATE AND TIME: 10/1/16 or 10/8/16, 2:00pm- 4:30pm when weather permits

It is a Party Time – Make Your Own Dumplings

Growing up, my grandma’s visits to our home meant one thing: All of the dumplings. She’d drop by on a Sunday morning, bags in tow laden with ground pork, tofu, vegetables, and packages of dumpling wrappers. My family would devote the entire afternoon to filling and pleating our way through hundreds of dumplings, as my mother would boil and pan-fry batches for us to eat as we worked. We’d freeze what we couldn’t eat, to be pulled out on busy weeknights when none of us felt like cooking.  That experience has shaped who I am today - I have acquired solid dumpling making skills!  Many years have passed, while missing my dearest grandma, I still love making dumplings and experimenting on different fillings.

There is no better way to get guests mingling than encouraging them to cook a meal together.  Yin Meets Yang cordially invites you to attend a DIY Dumpling Afternoon/Evening with Other Singles and Yin Meets Yang Founder Alice.

You will enjoy a hands-on adventure with a make-your-own dumplings party. You'll be guided, taught by Alice who is a dumping making expert how to fill and shape your own pot stickers, wontons, and more in an authentic way.

We will provide wrappers, fillings and dumping sauces in advance.  We will also prepare at least two types of recipes (meat, e.g. pork and vegetables): each person will make at least three of each dumpling.  We will either cook one recipe at a time and pause to eat between batches, or we’d rather cook them all at the end. Either way, dinner will be delicious!

Dumplings are the singular best food to make for (and with) a crowd: They’re easy, fun, beginner, and cook up super quickly. The more hands you we on deck, the quicker the dumplings come together and the faster we can get eating.

So we will need more of You! Come to Join us for a fun Dumping Afternoon/Evening!

It was fabulous to hear people's experiences with making dumplings, how they didn't think they could do it and how they practiced and persisted. As someone at our past dumping making party said, "Dumplings are instant smiles."

Bonus – you will also learn how to use chopsticks in a correct way.  A small game will be held to find out who the best chopstick user is.  Note: Native Chinese are not eligible for the game.

About Xi’an Cuisine & Bar

The city of Xi’an, situated in the northwestern region of China, has long been known as the first capital of China and the resting place of the famous terracotta soldiers. As the starting point of the Silk Road, however, the city also boasts a unique cuisine that combines Chinese and Middle Eastern flavors. Heavy in cumin, chili, Sichuan peppercorns, and other spices, local specialties range from famous hand-ripped “biang biang” noodles, seared in hot oil, to lamb “burgers” with a jalapeño kick. Not for the faint of heart, but famous for a reason.

In addition to its excellent and hand-crafted food, it offers a relaxing bar and lounge area on the first floor, where you can order one of our signature drinks that you can only find here at this location. Its bartenders are very knowledgeable and will cater the perfect drink to your need. Its bar features a selection of local and imported craft beers and unique mixtures, presented in a calm, serene environment. Perfect for a place to chill away from the massive crowds that can permeate in the area.
